Mass import - Excel

In this guide, we will outline key considerations to keep in mind when uploading Excel files.

Save time by importing 80% of your data into Muto using an Excel template, rather than manually inputting each entry. Ensure that you always use the most up-to-date template provided within Muto for importing your data. Each type of data requires a specific template to guarantee accurate data importation.

What can I upload with the Excel templates?

  • Employees
  • Suppliers
  • Assets:
    • Personal cars
    • LCV (light commercial vehicles)
    • Bicycles
    • Speed pedelecs
    • Cards (charging pass, fuel cards, public transport, ...)
    • Charging stations
    • Other vehicles

Where can I find the Excel template?

Navigate to the specific page for which you want to execute imports.

If you don't have any data yet, the import button is here:

If you already have some data, the import button is in the upper right corner:

The next screen that will appear after both situations explained above:

If you have selected "Don't show it again", this screen will appear:

Scroll down until you see this and download the correct template:

How should I import the template?

Make sure to follow the steps mentioned above to locate the correct template and input the accurate data.

Continue from this screen:

Select or drag-and-drop the file you want to upload.

Click on "Import" (see screenshot above). The system will quickly scan the file to identify any new or updated elements within it.

Click on "Start Import" (see screenshot below). In the screen that follows, you will see the new or revised data. If that is correct, click on "Finish importing".

Tip: Ensure to consistently refer to the "tips and questions" section on the upload page for guidance. The required format is outlined there.
